Scale the Intelligence. Not the Risk.

On September 24th, 2026, the EXEDA community gathered at Velvet by Velveto Events in Bucharest for an evening dedicated to one of the most pressing challenges facing modern organizations: accelerating artificial intelligence adoption while maintaining governance, security, accountability, and trust.

Under the theme Governance, Compliance & Security x AI – The Trust Architecture, the event brought together business leaders, technology innovators, cybersecurity specialists, and governance professionals to explore how organizations can embrace AI responsibly without losing control over the risks it introduces.

The central message was clear: the future belongs not only to organizations that adopt AI quickly, but to those that can scale innovation responsibly.

From AI Adoption to AI Accountability

Artificial intelligence is already transforming how organizations operate, make decisions, and create value. However, its rapid adoption raises important questions about transparency, data protection, security, and accountability.

A key topic was Shadow AI – the use of AI tools and systems without sufficient organizational visibility or oversight.

The discussions highlighted the importance of understanding where AI is being used, what information it accesses, and how it influences business decisions.

Effective AI governance requires more than written policies. It demands clear responsibilities, practical controls, and meaningful human oversight.

Responsible AI adoption is not about slowing innovation. It is about creating the conditions for sustainable progress.

Leaders Shaping the Conversation

The EXEDA September Experience featured business leaders, technology experts, and institutional representatives who contributed diverse perspectives on responsible AI adoption.

The featured speakers and EXEDA invited lecturers included:

  • Alex Cernătescu – Head of Academy, EXEDA
  • Adrian Iancu – Founder & Business Builder, Kupelo Holding
  • Diana Șerban – CEO, DY Nutrition
  • Costin Teodorovici – Co-Founder & CTO, Realtynno, TransLogic One & BaseTwelve
  • Bogdan Alexandru Sticloșu – President, National Integrity Agency
  • Adrian-Dumitru Ciocîrlan – Secretary General, National Integrity Agency
  • Adriana Lobdă – Founding Member, Envisia Boards of Elite
  • Alin Becheanu – Chairman of the Board, APCF

Together, they brought perspectives from entrepreneurship, technology, institutional governance, and business leadership, reinforcing the importance of connecting innovation with organizational responsibility.

The Trust Architecture: From Policies to Practical Control

The event explored how organizations can build effective AI governance frameworks that support innovation while managing risks.

The conversations focused on several essential priorities:

  • Visibility: Identifying AI tools, systems, and potential Shadow AI risks across organizations.
  • Accountability: Establishing clear responsibilities for AI-supported decisions and outcomes.
  • Compliance: Transforming regulatory requirements and internal policies into practical operational controls.
  • Human oversight: Ensuring meaningful human intervention in critical decisions.
  • Security by design: Integrating data protection, risk assessment, and cybersecurity into AI implementation from the beginning.

A recurring theme was the need to move beyond theoretical frameworks and establish governance mechanisms that work in everyday business operations.

From Compliance to Competitive Advantage

The EXEDA September Experience also highlighted the strategic value of responsible AI adoption.

As customers, partners, investors, and regulators increasingly expect transparency in how organizations use artificial intelligence, the ability to demonstrate effective governance becomes an important source of trust.

Rather than treating compliance as an obstacle, organizations can integrate it into their business strategy to strengthen operational resilience, stakeholder confidence, and long-term competitiveness.

The discussions emphasized that technology and human judgment must work together. While AI can support analysis and decision-making, organizations remain responsible for its use and outcomes.

Trust is not simply a compliance requirement. It is becoming a competitive advantage.
